Worldwide œufs en meurette days
The Château du Clos de Vougeot, the Mecca of French gastronomy, has a know-how recognized throughout the world, it is the undisputed temple of the œufs en meurette. Since 1953, this dish, one of the best symbols of Burgundian gastronomy, has been served with every meal organized at the château. For each reception, the menu varies, only the œufs en meurette remain at each menu. The castle's resident chef achieves the technical feat of serving 1,200 perfectly poached œufs en meurette in no more than five minutes to 600 guests.
The Château du Clos de Vougeot is organizing the third Worldwide œufs en meurette Championship on October, the 9th and 10th of 2021. The public will be able to attend the tasting session from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the amateur competition on saturday the 9th and watch top chefs compete for the Worldwide œufs en meurette Championship® sunday the 10th.
